11/04/2020 - Texas Fall Classic Bryan continues to show to improvements on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.18 runner. Behind the plate, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest and is a wall. Pop times showed in the 2.28 range with accuracy / carry (82 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Offensively, he shows an open, athletic setup. Hands are loose and work inside the baseball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, works hard to be the best player he can be and a leader behind the dish.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Bryan continues to shine on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in the 2.19 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Bryan is an athletic and energetic C/2B that will graduate in 2022. Behind the dish, Bryan shows an athletic set up behind the plate and can improve his receiving by getting stronger. His secondary is athletic and shows quick footwork with a clean exchange as he works to throw to the bases. He gets rid of the ball with a loose arm action and puts the ball on the 1B side of the bag with strong throws. Bryan works hard to block the ball with good angles and can improve by getting more agile side to side. At the plate, he starts in a tall stance with high hands and gets a good, controlled load to start the swing. Bryan gets his foot down on time as he rotates against a firm front side and delivers fast bat speed with a compact swing. His contact is consistent as he works a solid line drive approach. Bryan is a young player that showed there is more in the tank as he continues to develop and get stronger. We look forward to seeing his progress.

08/05/2019 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Bryan continues to show a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.25 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he continues to build more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and receives the ball well. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude and good instincts with plays with a lot of energy.

06/10/2019 - College PREP - Rapid City, SD Bryan is an athletic and talented 2022 utility prospect. Behind the dish, Bryan presents a low target and has quiet actions to the ball when receiving. He leads with his glove and keeps the ball in front of him when blocking. When throwing, Bryan has a clean exchange, proper footwork, and makes accurate throws. At 2B, Bryan is on time with his prep step and presents a low/early glove. He has good footwork to the ball and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Bryan starts in an athletic stance and has a smooth load. He looks for the ball middle-out, keeps the barrel on plane, and gets extension through contact. Bryan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

04/28/2019 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Bryan is an athletic C/2B prospect who will graduate in 2022. Behind the plate, Bryan shows active footwork when blocking and keeps the ball in front. He sits in an athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He throws from a low 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Making a quicker exchange can help Bryan improve as a C. At 2B, Bryan shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Bryan can improve as a 2B by taking a better prep step. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He takes a level swing and leads well with his lower half, leading to solid contact to his pull side. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Bryan improve as a hitter. With three more years to develop, Bryan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
