Official Scouting Report

  • 5Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

10/18/2023 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic Bryant is a tall (6ft/195) and lean 3B/RHP in the 2024 class. In the field, he has an athletic and relaxed feel. His feet are in sync with his body and he squares himself to the baseball. Hands work out in front and can redirect the baseball with clean actions. Gains a 3-qtr. release to produce accurate feeds across the diamond. On the mound, he shows excellent poise and command. His FB touched 77 with sink. His CB had sharp break at 62-5 and can be used as an out pitch. At the plate, scouts like his swing path and how long his barrel stays in the zone. He begins with an open stance and his hands are comfortable. He is on time with the pitch and displays a strong barrel at 84 velo. Showed well in games with 3 hits/3 RBI’s. Overall, Bryant is a solid two-way player and scouts believe he can make a difference at the next level.

06/11/2023 - National Showcase - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Bryant continues show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate is where he has improved the most, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are firm but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 76-78 mph with tailing action. Slider displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/17/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sonoma, CA Bryant is a strong 3B/RHP out of San Leandro, CA in the class of 2024. At 3B, he showed off good fundamentals by prepping in time with the pitch and fielding the ball in a low athletic position. He did a good job of funneling to his midline while working through the baseball with a quick clean exchange. At the plate, he used an open stance with a square stride to find balance and work through the baseball with extension. He made consistent contact by working a line drive approach. On the hill, he flashed strong mechanics by gathering over the rubber and rotating to his target. He had a two pitch mix of fastball (72 mph) and breaking ball which showed good depth with a 11/5 action. Bryant is a progressing prospect who will continue to get better with time but we expect big things of him in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
