04/07/2024 - National Showcase - Charlottesville, VA Bryce continues to impress with his baseball abilities, showing a top prospect on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting abilities are well above average with solid power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 84 mph. Fastball shows life on a downhill plane. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with downward break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is excellent as he throws strikes with all his pitches. With 3 years to further develop, Bryce has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Bryce is a 2027 3B/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. At 3B, he works to center the ball and make routine plays. Does a good job of keeping balls in front of him and fielding out front. He made accurate throws across the diamond from a 3/4 arm slot, with a short arm stroke, and an arm velocity up to 76mph. On the mound, he is centered, with a relaxed leg lift, and works down the mound. He does a good job of mixing pitches and loose/clean arm stroke. Attacks hitters with a FB topping out at 79mph with good movement, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with tight spin, and a changeup with good movement that he throws with FB arm speed. In 3 innings of work, Bryce punched out 3 hitters and didn't allow a hit. At the plate, he sets up in an athletic and even stance with loose hands. Has a controlled load with activated hands. He hit balls consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 79mph during BP. During the live games, he reached base 3 times with a single and 2 base on balls. Overall, Bryce is a good player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Bryce is a 2027 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series. At 3B, showed ability to keep ball in front of him. Works from right to left and fields from a square fielding position. Showed a 2-hand exchange, with an arm stroke that fits his position, and made accurate throws to first base with an arm velocity up to 76mph. A right-handed pitcher, he had a confident and sure demeanor on the mound. Has a simple and repeatable delivery. Throws a FB that sat 74-76mph with arm side run, a 10/4 shaped slider with tight spin, and a CH with good depth that he throws with FB arm speed. During the event he punched out 3 hitters and induced soft contact. A right-handed hitter begins with a tall and open stance with low hands. Has a controlled stride and rotates his lower half well. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 70mph during BP. In live game action, he reached base 4 times with a single, 2 walks, and reached on an error. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Bryce making huge strides on the baseball field.

04/03/2022 - All-In Membership - Charlottesville, VA Bryce is a talented P/3B in the 2027 class. In the field, he has a plus arm (74 velo) and is accurate to his targets. His exchanges are clean and uses a high ¾ throwing motion. Working to keep his hips lower in his fielding position, will allow him the flexibility to adjust to hops and field out in front of his eyes. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix with strong strike feel. Has an advanced balance point and maintains his eyes to the target. His FB topped at 72 and worked both side of the plate with ease. His CB/SL combo sat 62-64 and had 11/5 shape and can be used for a get me over or out pitch based upon the velocity. His CH sat 65-66 with run and FB arm speed. At the plate, he is balanced and uses a toe-tap load. Has gap-to gap production at this stage of his career. He is on-plane with the baseball and generates bat speed (76 exit velo). Overall, scouts were impressed with his ability and feel he will have a bright future on the diamond as he progresses through the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
