07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (HS) Bryce continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and displays proper footwork in squaring balls up. Hands are clean presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a great teammate and is very coachable on the field.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Oklahoma City , OK Bryce is a 3B/OF who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build, with broad shoulders, and strength present. In the infield, he shows efficient feet and athletic actions. Ability to pick out hops as he fields from a square fielding position. Eyes behind glove, with good footwork, on balls hit to his backhand. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a clean transfer, and an arm velocity up to 75mph. In the OF, he tries to play through the baseball and fields off his left foot. Showed ability to make routine plays. Made accurate throws into infield with good momentum towards his target. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance. Good hand separation with ability to control the barrel. A direct barrel path enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 79mph during BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, this 2-way player should have a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
