10/04/2023 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2026) Bryce continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Arizona SOPH Fall Classic. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.37 runner. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes good first steps in reading balls off the bat. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 73 mph. Fastball showed a range of 71-73 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/20/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Las Vegas, NV Bryce is an OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame lean build with some strength present. In the OF, he shows quick/fluid feet and has good body control at baseball. Shows off the ability to cover ground and fields from an athletic/low fielding position. Has clean transfer off of his right foot with a loose arm stroke. Made accurate and on-line throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a quick release, and arm velocity up to 78mph. At the plate, this switch-hitter shows some athleticism in his swing. Starts with a good setup and has a middle of the field approach from both sides of the plate. Hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph during his rounds of BP. Showed more power from the left side of the plate. On the mound, he separates his hands on-time, with good extension out front, and keeps his frontside tucked throughout. He works downhill and lands square to his target. Attacks hitters wit a FB that sits 68-70mph with some cutting action, a 1/7 shaped breaking ball with good command, and a changeup sinking action that he throws with FB arm speed. Bryce is a well-rounded prospect that we hope to see in the future.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
