12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Bryson is a tall and lean 3B/RHP in the class of 2024. In the field, he puts his body in position to make the routine plays consistently. He stays square to the baseball in his fielding position and his exchanges are fluid. He can play lower to the ground by sinking his hips and and driving his lower half on his throws. On the mound, he displays a 2 pitch mix from the stretch. His FB touched 79 with both cut and sinking actions. His CB sat around 66-68 with 11/5 shape. He is composed on the mound and has a great understanding of getting ahead early and winning the even counts. At the plate, he has a simple rhythm and excellent hand separation. Once he incorporates his lower half, he will add power to an already impressive exit velo of 80 mph. Bryson is only scratching the surface of a great career.

10/10/2021 - All-In Membership - Dayton, OH Bryson is an athletic 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he maintains balance. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 76-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He slows are speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength. With 4 years to further develop, Bryson has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
