01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Cade is an athletic 2B/RHP prospect who showed well during the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Cade shows fluid footwork and is agile covering ground. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them consistent to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a short swing and produces strong line drives. On the mound, Cade works with a quick arm and keeps his pitches down in the zone. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 79mph. Curveball sits at 67mph. Slider sits at 66mph. Overall, Cade is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/26/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Visalia, CA Cade continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. At the plate, hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. At 2B, he takes a quick first step (7.25 time) and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip (85 mph velocity) on his throws. Defensive abilities are near a pro level as he shows big play potential. In the OF, defensive abilities are excellent. Not many balls get down that are hit his way. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. With 2 years to further develop, Cade has a ton of upside and possesses the skill-set that will play at a very high level.

07/28/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 17U Cade is a 2023 2B/OF prospect who showed well during the Southwest Championships. In the field, Cade starts on the balls of his feet and displays quick footwork and takes aggressive routes to the ball. He gets into an athletic/low fielding position and fields the ball out in front of his body. Quick/clean transfer and he showed ability to get rid of the ball. Accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with a loose/quick arm, and arm velocity up to 84mph. At the plate, he hits an athletic and open stance with activated hands. Rotates lower half to contact and showed explosive bat speed. Hit balls hard consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity of 89mph during his round of BP. In live game action, he reached base 4 times with 2 singles and 2 hit by pitches. He proved to be a tough out all week long and competed at the plate and in the field. Cade s a talented prospect who has the skillsets to contribute at the next level with continued development.

02/07/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Visalia, CA Cade is an athletic 2B/OF prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Cade moves light on his feet and gets into a low position. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a quick exchange, making on-line throws through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact and gap to gap power. Overall, Cade is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
