09/02/2022 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) with Video Showcase Caique is another exceptionally talented SS in the baseball factory program. This 2025 grad impressed scouts with his actions in the field and in the batters box at the All-Region Tournament recently. In the field, he plays on the balls of his feet and his movements are smooth. Creates a plus 1st step (7.15 runner) and plays low to the ground. Arm is accurate and releases from a high slot. Working to present the glove more out in front will allow him to adjust to hops with more efficiency. At the plate, scouts like how he uses his lower half in his swing. He rotates his core well and his on-plane swing generates barrel awareness for gap-to-gap production. Overall, Caique is trending in the right direction and with more baseball in front of him, he will continue to blossom into an elite player.

11/28/2021 - All-In Membership - Sanford (Orlando), FL Caique is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. In the infield, he shows ability to close distance and cover ground in all directions. He works to center the baseball with ability to make routine plays. He opens hips, with a good glove angle, to his backhand side. Made accurate throws from a low 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 69mph. Showed good touch on his DP flip and follows as well as squaring up to throw on his DP pivots. On the mound, he separates his hands on-time and extends out front. He has a controlled landing and rotates to his target. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 64-67mph with good movement in the zone, a slider with 11/5 shape and good depth, and a changeup with some sinking action that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and closed stance. Quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. He hits into a firm front side and has good balance at contact. A short/direct barrel path enables him to spray balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 71mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having a good high school career.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
