10/04/2023 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2026) Cais is a 2026 SS/RHP out of Amarillo, TX who had a chance to compete at the Arizonia Sophomore Fall Classic. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth/clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. Fastball showed a range of 75-77 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/28/2023 - National Showcase - Albuquerque, NM Cais is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2026. At SS, he shows fluid footwork and athletic actions. He works from right to left and closes distance on batted balls. He fields from an athletic fielding position with his hands out front and has a low funnel. Has a good glove angle and fields with 1-hand in the alley. Creates momentum to his target on throws to first base with an arm velocity up to 82mph. On the mound he has a simple and repeatable delivery and works with good tempo. He picks up his target early and gets his chest to his glove. He attacks hitters with a FB that sat 70-72mph with plus command, and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that he throws with good arm speed. FB was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate he hits from an athletic and closed stance. Creates good timing to his swing, with activated hands, and has good bat to ball skills. A direct barrel path enables him to spray balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.

05/14/2023 - National Showcase - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Cais is a RHP/SS prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame lean build with some strength present and room to add throughout. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and works with good direction down the mound. Keeps his eyes on the target and works at the bottom of the strike zone. A 2-pitch pitcher who attacks hitters with his FB that sat 72-74mph with some sink and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that flashes good depth. CB was best pitch during his bullpen session. In the infield, has ability to make routine plays and tracks ball to glove. Showed a low funnel with a clean transfer. He made accurate throws from a low 3/4 arm slot, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 83mph. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an athletic and square stance. He hits into a firm front side and is balanced at contact. He hit balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Cais making huge strides on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
