06/09/2010 - College PREP - Jupiter, FL Caleb is an athletic, 2-way player that plays 2B and RHP. He currently projects better in the INF. Defensively, Caleb's hands and feet play well together, and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He has good balance, he fields the ball out in front of his body, and he throws accurately to his target. An earlier glove and more use of his legs should help Caleb's INF skills improve as he approaches his senior year. On the mound, Caleb consistently throws strikes and has decent mechanics. He has good 12-6 shape to his CB, and good feel with his CH. Caleb has good direction to the plate, and with looser actions, better balance, and added arm strength, pitching abilities can improve. At the plate, Caleb has good balance, bat speed, and quick hands. He is an aggressive hitter that stays tall and has a level swing path. He flashes some pop in his bat, and can work gap to gap. Less wasted movements and more direct hands to the ball will help hitting grades further improve.
