07/18/2017 - College PREP - Highland Park (DFW), TX Caleb is a well-rounded CF prospect who has a projectable frame and graduates in 2019. In the field, Caleb plays with active footwork and takes effective angles to cover good ground. He gets around the baseball and presents his glove as he does a nice job working through the ball. He has a quick, clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with momentum towards his target producing consistently strong, accurate throws. As a right-handed hitter, Caleb has a square setup with his weight in the front of his stance. He has a good load with a short stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Caleb has a short, direct swing path and gets good separation with his hands. He has a line drive approach and shows power to the pull side. Overall, Caleb plays the game athletically with a good approach giving him good upside to get even better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
