04/02/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Calvin is a big, strong OF/3B. In the OF, he takes solid/efficient routes as he tracks down fly balls. He gets behind the ball and makes accurate throws to his target. At 3B, he present his glove out in front of his body. He plays through the ball and has a clean exchange to throw. At the plate, Calvin displays a balanced/square setup. He swings level through the zone as he drives pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
