08/01/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Myrtle Beach, SC Camden exhibited a strong understanding of the game, knowing what to do in the field and consistently making smart decisions. At the plate, he displayed a good approach, particularly in leveraging a backside approach, and he possesses power that can impact the game. Although on lefty lefty matchups, he would step out so he could work on staying closed when facing a lefty pitcher. Defensively, he is dependable and showed good hustle, never giving up on plays, which reflects his positive attitude and commitment to the game. On the bases, his speed is a notable asset, allowing him to take extra bases and pressure the defense. On the mound, he threw with good velocity, ranging from 44-46 miles per hour, and his arm action is strong, though there is room to improve on maintaining his balance and avoiding pulling off the front side. Overall, his combination of speed, pitching potential, and strong game sense makes him a valuable player with the potential for continued growth.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
