04/09/2017 - College PREP - Louisville, KY Camden is an athletic 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.00. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball jumping off bat when centered. At 3B, feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Arm strength is solid as indicated by his top velocity of 81 mph. Fastball showed a range of 79-81 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late break. Changeup shows sinking action as he maintains arm speed and shows a feel for the pitch. Off speed stuff show potential as being quality pitches. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Camden has potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
