08/29/2021 - All-In Membership - Brockton (Boston), MA Camden is a strong 1B/LHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. On the mound, he shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 67 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Camden has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
