03/28/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Cameron is a 2022 C. Tall frame strong build with room to continue to fill out. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary C who presents low target and a soft glove. Arm strength jumps off the page with Cameron. Raw arm velocity of 93mph and consistent pop times of 1.90 during workouts. Beats ball to spot and keeps balls in strike zone. Creates good blocking angles and covers the 5 hole. Clean transfers and accurate throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Right-handed hitter with upright and even stance. Short and simple stride with quick hands to the ball. Gets lower half through with good extension and a gap to gap approach. Ball jumps off the bat with a bat exit velocity of 87mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee Cameron making big strides and having an opportunity to play at the next level.

03/24/2019 - College PREP - Harmony (Pittsburgh), PA Cameron is a powerful backstop with a tremendous future on the diamond. With flexion and good sway he pockets pitches with a soft/sure mitt. Pop times showed in the 2.25 range. Cameron had a raw velocity of 88 mph. At the plate, he has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped (88 mph exit velocity) through the zone as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it to the gaps. With 3 years to further develop, Cameron has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
