Official Scouting Report

11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Plano (DFW), TX Cameron is a 3B prospect who will graduate in 2026. Tall frame athletic build, with a strong lower half, and room to add throughout. In the infield, he showed a good pre-pitch routine and ability to field out front. Does a good job of picking out hops and shows 1-hand field in the alley. Creates momentum on his throws to first base with an arm velocity up to 74mph. A right-handed hitter, he starts with an upright and closed stance. A long-levered kid who uses whole body to generate power. Gets his backside through and hits the ball out front. Shows ability to hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 74mph. Another 3 years of growth and development should provide Cameron with opportunities to play at the next level.

07/09/2023 - Baseball Factory Seattle All Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Cameron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Cameron is a team guy and has a positive attitude. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as he enters his sophomore year.

12/04/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Cameron is a 3B who will graduate in 2026. Tall frame lean build, with long levers, and strength present. At 3B, he works to center the baseball and showed ability to make routine plays. Works from right to left and keeps his eyes behind his glove. Has a long arm stoke in back and throws from multiple arm angles with an arm velocity up to 70mph across the diamond. Made accurate throws with a quick release. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and square stance. Showed good bat to ball skills, with intent in his swing, and keeps his weight between his knees. He gets on-plane early as he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph. With 3 1/2 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way player having a bright future on the baseball field.

11/03/2022 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at the Jackie Robinson Sports Complex Cameron is a 2026 grad out of McKinney, TX. At 1B, defensive abilities have improved as he shows smooth/fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as Cameron starts up his freshman year.

08/01/2022 - All-In Membership - Plano (DFW), TX Cameron is a 1B/RHP who will graduate in 2026. Tall frame lean build with strength present and room to add throughout. At 1B, he starts with active feet and a good prep step. Takes aggressive angles to the baseball, with ability to pick out hops, and fields from a square fielding position. A short/loose arm stroke into a high 3/4 release point, with ability to turn glove side, and an arm velocity on his throws to second base up to 77mph. On the mound, he has long levers and a projectible frame. Works with good tempo and keeps his eyes on target throughout delivery. Throws a FB that sits 64-66mph with good command, a 11/5 shaped slider that he throws with good arm speed, and a cutter that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate, he starts with an upright and closed stance. He gets his hands separated and has a good bat angle at contact. He gets extended out front as he sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 63mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Cameron having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
