01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Cameron is a strong, athletic catcher who showcased his baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off a soft chest. Receiving / blockings skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times showed in the 2.14 range with accuracy / carry (81 mph exit velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Offensively, he continues to shine with well above average hitting abilities and outstanding power potential. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation through a balanced approach. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path with gap to gap pop. Power potential will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Cameron has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.
