08/05/2009 - Pirate City World Series - Session 2 Cameron is a two-way player in the OF and at SS with an average frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature and fill out. Foot speed is solid average and he will benefit by getting on a speed / agility program to improve foot quickness for the next level. Feet are active in taking proper routes and angles in tracking down balls in the OF. He works around balls in the IF but needs to be more aggressive in playing through balls. Defensive abilities are slightly above average in the OF and at SS. Arm strength is solid average displaying life, carry, and accuracy. He needs to get on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing more arm strength with carry. At the plate, hitting abilities are average with slightly above average power through an aggressive approach. He has some mechanical flaws that are hindering him from reaching his full potential with grades improving with instruction and adjustments at the plate. With 4 years to further develop, Rambo has potential to be a solid player at the next level as he continues to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
