12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Cameron is a tall and athletic 2018 1B/3B prospect. At 1B, Cameron works off the bag and pick the ball well. He presents a low/early glove and gets into the proper position to throw the. Continuing to work from the ground up and fielding the ball in front of his body will allow him to have a clean exchange. At the plate, Cameron starts in an athletic stance, and has good rhythm in his hands. He uses his lower half and has a good finish. Continuing to load his hands into the drive position and keeping the barrel on plane will allow him to drive the ball to all fields. Keeping a middle approach will allow him to keep his head down at contact more consistently. Cameron is a good communicator on the field and is focused on every play. Cameron will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
