Official Scouting Report

  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

07/17/2022 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (HS) Cameron is a 2025 RHP/3B who worked hard during the Baseball Factory Pro Select Training and Tournament. Tall frame stout build with some strength to the build. Primary right-handed pitcher, arm works well, simple delivery and gets down mound with intent, will improve strikes as he repeats more. Up to 71 with the fastball, comes out of the hand well with some life to both sides. Showed good shape and overall action on the breaking ball. At 3B, he fields from a square fielding position and showed a low funnel with a quick arm. Made on-line throws to first base consistently with an arm velocity up to 68mph. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance. Long levers and projectible frame who could engage his lower half more. He squared up balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph during BP. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way player making huge strides on the baseball field.

02/13/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Monticello, IA Cameron is a RHP/3B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame stout build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. In the infield, shows efficient footwork, with ability to cut down distance, and good body control at the baseball. He shows good footwork and glove actions to his backhand side. Has a loose arm stroke and throws from an over-the-top arm slot. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base with an arm velocity up to 73mph. On the mound, has a repeatable delivery and works with good tempo. He picks up his target early and lands square to his target. He throws a FB that sits 70-72mph, a breaking ball with 11/5 shape, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed that has some sink to it. At the plate, he hits from an upright and square stance. He is centered at contact and rotates his upper half well. During his round of BP, he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 79mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
