07/17/2017 - Factory Development Institute National Select Program Cameron is a coachable 2B/1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Factory Development Institute National Select Program. In the field, Cameron shows good lateral movement and fields with soft hands. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Cameron can improve defensively by fielding the ball out in front of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets back into his load well and finishes with a firm front side in his lower half. He takes a direct swing to the ball with decent bat speed which leads to consistent contact to all fields. Cameron can improve as a hitter by being more aggressive at the plate. With two more years to develop, Cameron has the time and potential to further progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
