12/27/2023 - National Showcase - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Cameron is an athletic 2B who will graduate in 2025. He plays from the ground up and keeps his eyes behind his glove. Shows a low funnel with a loose arm stroke. Has good carry on his balls to first base with an arm velocity up to 78mph. A right-handed pitcher he shows a simple delivery with ability to repeat hit. Has a controlled landing with good extension out front. A 3-pitch pitcher he challenges hitters with a FB that topped 70mph. He mixes in an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate he starts with an athletic and closed stance. Has fluid timing to his swing and gets knob to C. A direct barrel path enables him to hit hard line drives to the pull side. With another year of growth and development, Cameron should make huge strides on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
