05/28/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Camron had an excellent outing at the BF South Showcase and it very exciting to know that he is just scratching the surface of his ability. He attacked hitters from a 3/4 slot that has some deception to it, and his fastball was up to 88 mph. He does it easily and it appears that there is much more in the tank as his 6'5" frame continues to fill out. He reminds us of Sean Manaea at a similar age with his build, delivery, and loose quick left arm. Camron spun a breaking ball with 2-plane break to it, and it was very effective when he threw it with good arm speed and got on top of it. Rounding out his arsenal was a change that had some late fade to it. Overall, this is a very high ceiling young arm who already gets a ton of swing-and-misses from his present stuff.

11/18/2018 - College PREP - Montgomery, AL Camron is a strong and athletic 2021 LHP prospect. On the bump, Camron gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a loose arm action. He has good tempo in his delivery, rides his back leg toward the plate, and finishes over the front knee. He commands both sides of the plate with his fastball, he has good depth to the curveball, and he has a natural cut on his changeup. Camron will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
