06/17/2010 - Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament - Week 1 Carlos is a short, stocky, 2-way player that plays 3B and RHP. In the INF, Carlos has good footwork, he fields out in front, and he works from the ground up. He makes plays on balls hit his way, he follows his throws across the diamond, and delivers the ball accurately to his target. Improved range and added arm strength will help Carlos further improve. On the mound, Carlos has average arm speed and he gets to his balance point well. He has good glove side lead, he keeps the ball low, and has a good idea of the strike zone. If Carlos can loosen his front leg, and add physical strength, mound effectiveness will further improve. Offensively, Carlos has a good set-up and good bat speed. He has good balance, a level swing, and limited power. An earlier load and improved barrel accuracy will help offensive numbers spike. Carlos was a very verbal, excited player during his time in Omaha.
