01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Carson is a strong C/3B prospect who showcased his skills at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. Behind the plate, Carson sits in a relaxed stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and replaces his feet to throw, keeping his throws accurate with carry through the 2B bag. He is quick moving to block and centers the ball in the middle of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is on time getting into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a compact swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Carson is a talented prospect who will be on to follow as he progresses.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
