12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Carter is a promising 2027 outfielder and right-handed pitcher who demonstrated significant improvement in his skills at the Baseball Factory Pirate City camp. As an outfielder, he showed athleticism, making quick and accurate throws to the infield from a three-quarter arm slot. At the plate, Carter is a right-handed hitter with a solid foundation, starting with a square stance and comfortable hands. His smooth, level bat path and ability to rotate through the ball allow him to make consistent contact while showcasing good plate discipline. While there's room for growth in his overall quickness and angles to the baseball, Carter’s potential is clear. On the mound, he displays a confident demeanor and a strong, square stance. His delivery features good extension and some deceptive elements, allowing him to be effective on the hill. In his two innings of work, he struck out two batters, further proving his capabilities. With continued development, Carter has the tools to make great strides in his baseball career.

07/18/2024 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (HS) Carter continues to impress with his baseball abilities at the National World Series. At the plate is where he showed best through a squared setup. He is aggressive at the plate, displaying quick hands through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing with baseball exploding off when centered. Power will increase as he improves his lower half efficiently. At the event, he was 3 for 8 with 2 3B. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

04/28/2024 - National Showcase - Binghamton, NY Carter is an athletic OF who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 3 years to further develop, Carter has potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
