08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Carter is a tall and athletic infielder/RHP who recently impressed scouts with his level of play at the Ripken Games in MD. In the field, he shows plus actions and fields the baseball correctly. He possesses a strong arm at 65 velo and is accurate to his targets. On the mound, he works fast and has great tempo. He is in the zone with his 2-pitch mix and is an excellent defender off the hill. His FB sat 61 and his breaking pitch ranged at 47 with 11-5 shape. At the plate, he swings with intent to do damage. He shows plus bat speed at 58 exit velo and raw power. He collected three hits and several deep flyballs. Overall, Carter plays above grade level and has a bright future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
