08/01/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Dallas, TX Carter Rodgers is 1B/SS that recently competed at the All-Ripken Games. His performance was highlighted by his strong arm, bat to ball skills, and his patience at the plate. That patience and feel for the strike zone is why he was able to draw four walks, and reach base on 6 of 8 plate appearances. Carter did not strike out once in all of his at bats. Two recommendations that Carter should implement is to make sure his stride foot goes back towards the pitcher as opposed to the SS/3B, and get stronger with his top hand for more barrel control. On the mound Carter had a fastball that ranged between 43-47 MPH.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
