04/03/2022 - All-In Membership - Windsor (Madison), WI Carter is a RHP/SS prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with some strength present. At SS, he works to center the baseball, with fluid footwork, and showed ability to make routine plays. Works around baseball, with good direction towards target, and creates good fielding angles. He fields from an athletic/low fielding position with soft hands out front. Loose arm action with a low 3/4 release point and an arm velocity up to 73mph to first base. On the mound, he showed good fastball command and gets his chest over his front knee. Works with good tempo and has a clean arm stroke. Flashed a FB that that topped out at 69mph at the bottom of the strike zone, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball that he throws for strikes, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Showed smooth timing to swing, with a good load, and showed ability to control the barrel. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 64mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way player having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
