04/28/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Seattle, WA Cayden is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. Ran his 60-yard dash in 7.04 seconds. Shows quick feet and good body control at baseball. He works around the baseball and fields from an athletic fielding position. Has a quick exchange. Made on-line throws to first base from multiple arm slots. On the bump he breaks his hands at the midline and works with good direction towards the plate. Shows good command of all 4 of his pitches. Splitter was his best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate he hits from an athletic and open stance. Has an explosive barrel through the hitting zone with weight between his knees. Hit hard line drives to all fields during his round of BP. Cayden should have opportunities to play at the next level with continued development.

06/26/2022 - All-In Membership - Tacoma, WA Cayden is a 3B/C prospect who will graduate in 2025. At 3B, Cayden shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He fields in a low position and has a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. Presenting his hands out in front of his body can help Cayden field ground balls more efficiently. Behind the dish, Cayden is active moving to block and keeps dirt balls in front of him. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with a firm glove. He throws from a 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to the 2B bag. Cayden can build up his arm strength by long tossing. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and gets into his load well. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed and produces strong line drives. Maintaining center balance throughout his swing can help Cayden barrel up more baseballs. Overall, Cayden is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
