Behind the plate, he showcases a firm mitt with strong pocket awareness, consistently sticking pitches. He uses his body effectively during the blocking process, and his pop times are currently in the 2.38 range, with accuracy on his throws. These times are expected to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Cayden displays a squared setup with quick hands that work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with a line drive approach. With time and room to develop, Cayden has significant potential to elevate his game further.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
