07/28/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Chance is a versatile 2B/OF prospect who has a well-rounded skill set and graduates in 2018. In the field, Chance plays with quick footwork and agile actions creating effective angles to cover a large territory. He works around the baseball and fields it in an athletic position with a firm glove. Chance has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. As a right-handed hitter, Chance has an athletic, crouched stance with his weight in the front of his setup. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square, on-time stride. Chance shows fast bat speed with an on-plane swing path producing square contact. He has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. During his time at Pirate City, Chance played hard on every play, had a couple of diving plays and hustled on and off field. He worked hard in all drills and asked lots of questions which earned him the Gatorade Award. Overall, Chance has a talented skill set on both sides of the ball with the right approach giving him good potential to take his game to the next level.
