08/15/2021 - All-In Membership - Honolulu, HI Chanson is an OF/RHP prospect who will graduate high school in 2027. In the outfield, he works to center the baseball and keep his body in front of baseball. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot and creates momentum towards target. Accurate/on-line 1 hop throws into infield with an arm velocity up to 61mph. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch with eyes on target throughout delivery. He gathers over the rubber and lands athletically with proper stride length. 2 pitch pitcher who works off of a FB that sat 57-58mph and a developing changeup with some tailing action. At the plate, he sets up in an athletic and open stance. On-time swing, with good separation, and ability to get on-plane early. Flat barrel path enables him to spray ball to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 57mph during BP. With five more years to develop, Chanson has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
