05/07/2017 - College PREP - Bowie, MD Chardale is an athletic OF who will graduate in 2018. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.23. In the OF, he utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls but will benefit by playing through balls more with his body. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry but will need to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing, displaying gap-to-gap pop. Chardale has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
