06/27/2013 - California Select Training & Competition Chase is turning himself into a strong RHP prospect at the next level. On the bump, he hit 82 MPH and threw an 11/5 curve-ball at 62 MPH - keeping hitters off balance. Chase also throws a change-up for strikes, but could develop greater feel for ultimate effectiveness. His delivery is repeatable and clean with good downhill plane to his pitches. He has great mound presence with a big/strong build. Chase also played some 3B, where he made the routine plays and showed an ability to move well laterally. With the bat, he has a good base, with a simple setup and repeatable swing. He made adjustments to his lower half and began hitting with greater pop. Chase projects best on the mound (where he prefers to be playing) and should have a promising career ahead of him - being an elite player in his class.
