01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Chase Krogman is a 5'10/165 lbs L/L OF that showed exceptional athleticism and present baseball skill at the UAPSAA with Baseball Factory. Defensively, he worked his feet in anticipation, and moved well to close in on ground balls. He brought great energy to the position and was aggressive attacking all balls in his area, taking good angles. Being a 7.18 runner, broad jumping 9'1, and being a 4.4 shuttle guy to both sides, Chase possesses ability beyond his age, that will only improve over the next three years in HS. At the dish, he has a repeatable swing path and stays compact with the barrel. He sprays the ball to all fields and created fast bat speed with his smooth rhythm/timing. Chase also jumped on the bump to throw a FB with tail from 79-81, and a 2/8 CB from 67-68. He pitched to contact and worked around the plate with all of his pitches, repeating well. All in all - Chase is an intriguing follow that has a very bright future in this game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
