09/19/2010 - College PREP - Milwaukee, WI Chaz showed improvements in his game during his last workout in Oak Creek, WI. He is a thin, 2-way player that projects even both on the mound and in the OF. On the hill, Chaz has good direction toward the plate, he keeps his eyes to his target, and he makes good use of his lower 1/2. He gets good separation, has nice glove side lead, and he keeps his arm speed the same with all if his pitches. Mound effectiveness can improve if Chaz can find a more consistent release point, improve his command, and add arm strength. In the OF, Chaz has average hands and feet and he attacks the ball aggressively. He takes good angles to the ball, he fields it cleanly, and throws with accuracy to his target. OF skills can get better if Chaz can play through the ball more, quicken his feet, and lengthen out his arm stroke. Offensively, Chaz has average balance, bat speed, and barrel accuracy. He has a compact swing, short approach, and direct hands to the baseball. If Chaz can improve his balance and transfer his weight better, average hitting grades will further improve.
