02/24/2013 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Chris is a solid athletic RHP/2B that will graduate in 2015. Currently, he projects best at 2B for the next level. Feet are active as he works to square balls up, looks balls in and displays clean hands. He needs to attack ground balls, play through while presenting hands more out front, and increase foot speed to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Siegel shows a balanced approach with rhythm. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side as he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields and improving hitting grade. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 70-71 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to throw more strikes. With 2 years to further develop, Chris has abilities with a lot of room to improve.
