04/18/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Tampa, FL Christian continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and is a prospect on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and present well out front. Behind the dish, he presents a firm mitt, sticking balls in the zone. He uses his body through the blocking process, but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in 2.10 range with accuracy / carry (86 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, power potential is now outstanding through a squared setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact and has strength through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Christian has a big upside with time and room to progress his game.

07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Christian is an athletic and hard working 2024 2-way prospect. Behind the dish, Christian made several adjustments through out the week, especially in his secondary stance. He starts in an athletic secondary and gets into an athletic blocking position. He presents a low target, works behind the ball, and controls balls down in the strike zone. When throwing, He gains ground, has a clean exchange, and a quick release. In the OF, Christian is on time with his pre step and gets good jump to the ball. He creates good angles, works behind the ball, and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Christian starts in a squared stance, he has a level swing path, and shows pull side pop. He needs to continue to get his lower half to balance and create backside drive with his lower half. He needs to continue to keep his head down at contact and create good barrel direction through the ball. Christian is a hard worker and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
