08/28/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Augusta, NJ Christian continues to show as a top prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, delivery is sound and repeatable allowing his arm to work clean/quick to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 83-84 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. At the plate, hitting/power potential is outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

08/30/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Wilmington, DE Christian continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, hitting abilities are now solid through an open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Christian is an athletic and lanky 2-way prospect. At SS, Christian starts on the balls of his feet and is on time with his prep step. He presents a low/early glove, he plays through the ball, and he has good footwork on double plays. At the plate, Christian has a simple load, he has a firm front side when he strides, and he rotates his hips through contact. Christian has a middle approach and he consistently finds the barrel. On the bump, Christian finds a balance point, he separates on time, and he has a quick arm action. He commands his fastball and he has an electric breaking ball. Christian is highly motivated and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
