01/18/2013 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Christopher is a young, lanky RHP/3B that will graduate in 2014. Currently, he projects best on the mound for the next level. Delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work well to the plate. Arm strength is average as indicated by his top velocity of 77 mph. Fastball shows a range of 74-77 mph on a slightly downhill plane. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Command / control are a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches, changing speeds well. At 3B, feet are active as he attacks ground balls with his feet, squaring up well and displaying clean hands. He needs to work to play through balls while presenting hands more out front to improve defensive grade. At the plate, Beshai shows an athletic setup with balance and rhythm. Hands are loose / smooth and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and shows a feel for the barrel through a solid line drive approach. For hitting grades to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. At the event, he was 3 for 6 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be. Christopher has abilities with a lot room to improve.
