10/20/2010 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic - 2010 Christopher showed very well at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. Good energy on the field and a mature mental approach. Release behind the plate is quick, arm strength is above average and he is accurate with throws as well. Footwork is advanced. Saw a 1.98 game pop time on the bag. Offensively, he has a solid approach overall. Quick bat and a good feel for the barrel. 3 for 7 with a double and two walks on the weekend. Could use some more rhythm in his body throughout stance and would like to see him get more rotation out of his lower half. Overall, a catcher with a promising future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
