08/03/2024 - BF Evaluation Experience at Pigeon Forge Christopher is a 2031 catcher who attended the Baseball Factory Evaluation Experience at Pigeon Forge. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.26 range on the 70 foot diamond. At the plate, he shines through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half is strong and works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. With 7 years to further develop, Christopher has a lot of potential with big upside as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
