06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Christopher continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 84-89 mph with plus arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a plus feel for pitch with arm side run and sink. Command / control is tremendous as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. At the plate, hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range as indicated by his superior foot speed of 7.31. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. Defensive abilities are outstanding as he shows big play potential. Christopher has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Christopher is an athletic 1B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are soft / sure and he showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt, saving throws. Feet / hands work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry on his throws. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through a tall setup. Hands are quick generating bat speed (89 mph exit velocity) through an aggressive swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he has strength in his swing with gap to gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 81-83 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is tremendous as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Christopher has potential and will get looks from the college coaches with his baseball abilities, possibly as a two way guy.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
