05/20/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Henrico (Richmond), VA CJ is a solid, strong, 2-way player who plays 3B and RHP. Defensively, CJ has efficient footwork, clean hands, and he fields in a square position. He makes plays, keeps the ball in front, and has an accurate arm with carry to his target. On the mound, CJ has good balance, he keeps his eyes on target, and gets good extension on his pitches. Offensively, CJ has a square set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has strength in his swing, makes square/consistent contact, and uses his lower body. CJ can improve skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
