07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (HS) Clark is a 2024 RHP/OF out of Evansville, IN who continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities on the diamond. He did show for the first time in the OF. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.13 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind the ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting/power potential is now outstanding through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 83 mph. Fastball showed a range of 79-83 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a great teammate and is very coachable on the field.

03/19/2023 - National Showcase - Indianapolis, IN Clark is a RHP who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher has a good rear hip coil and keeps his eyes on target. He gathers over rubber and rotates to target. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 79-81mph with plus command. Mixed in a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with good depth and a changeup with good movement that he throws with FB arm speed. CB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he hits from a tall and square stance. Square glide step, with a small hand load, and is balanced at contact. A direct barrel path enables him to spray balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 88mph during BP. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
