07/31/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Stewart continues to make improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he topped out at 80 mph. Fastball showed a range of 79-80 mph with arm side run / sink. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are soft / clean as he consistently shows the ability to pick balls out of the dirt, saving throws. At the plate, he shows an athletic stance with rhythm. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. For hitting grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a hard worker and is very coachable.
