10/10/2010 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Cody is a talented, athletic, OF with a bright future. Defensively, Cody has sure hands, fluid footwork, and he tracks the ball well. He fields on the glove side, has a quick release, and throws with a loose arm, accurately to his target. Cody has plus arm strength, and if he can use 2 hands, and finish off his throws, solid defensive grades can get even better. Offensively, Cody has good balance and an open set-up. He has quick hands, a smooth swing, and a short swing path. Cody has a line drive approach and makes hard, consistent contact.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
