05/28/2023 - National Showcase - Minneapolis, MN Cole is an OF/3B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. In the OF, good first step reads enables him to cover ground in all directions and make routine plays. Showed good lateral range as he works behind/through the baseball with a high 1-hand catch. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 75mph. At 3B, starts with a prep step and has good body control at the baseball. Works from right to left and fields with his hands out front. Made consistent throws to first base. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance. Showed good plate discipline as he only offered at pitches in the strike zone. Showed good barrel control and is balanced at contact. Made contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 71mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee the 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
